Rick works with Registered Training Organisation "Allens Training" to deliver First responder training to industry standards for all his Students. Being a Certified Trainer & Assessor in addition to training qualifications from experience & participation with The Defence Force & Surf Life Australia.

Rick describes himself as highly active and motivated, with his dynamic career history spanning military service, property sales, hospitality and tourism to bear that out.

Rick & OPT-NT are based from Darwin. However having crisscrossed the country from Perth to Queensland and the Top End in pursuit of both challenges and success, he won’t be phased by the large territory he’ll be covering,

Rick joined the Australian Army in 1981, and he has served in various rolls ever since, including as a medic. He counts his postings with the Pilbara Regiment in Karratha and to Norforce (North-West Mobile Force) on surveillance and reconnaissance of the remote areas of Northern Australia among the highlights. He has also been a director of education with Surf Life Saving Australia since 2000 showing significant knowledge & experience in First Aid & training.

When he gets the chance, you’ll find Rick enjoying a very active outdoor lifestyle. Being a Certified Trainer and Assessor in addition to carrying training qualifications from ADF and Surf Life Australia, Rick works with Registered Training Organisation "Allens Training" to deliver First responder training to industry standards for his clients & offering to train at the workplace to ensure optimum situational preparation.
